The Trip
The Future Ambassadors’ Trip is a life-changing, ground-breaking 11-day trip to China for students from the UK aged between 14 and 17.
It is formed of a partnership between Yo-Yo School Exchange, Wuhan TV, and both the Foreign Affairs Office and Education Bureau of the People’s Government of the City of Wuhan.
All participants will receive an official Certificate of Participation, validated by the People’s Government of the City of Wuhan.
Joining a Future Ambassadors Trip will enrich both your understanding of China and your CV.
The Sights
The trip will take Future Ambassadors to the city of Wuhan - one of the most dynamic and exciting cities on the planet. Whilst there, Ambassadors can explore this vibrant metropolis, with its booming skyline floating above an older patchwork of smaller streets that hide countless cosy noodle houses, temples, and history dating back over three thousand years.
Ambassadors will also escape the city to discover the mythical Wudang mountains, and marvel at one of the wonders of the modern engineering world - the Three Gorges Dam.
Afterwards, Ambassadors will journey to China’s incredible capital city Beijing. There they can trek the Great Wall of China, sample authentic Peking Duck, and wonder at the city’s many opulent palaces and quaint Hutong neighbourhoods.
The Experience
China is the experience of a lifetime. The heat, smells, noise - it can all be a bit overwhelming at first. However, Ambassadors will quickly discover a land of incredible food, friendly people, breathtaking scenery, and an ancient and fascinating culture.
Future Ambassadors are far more than tourists. All Future Ambassadors will be representing their country, and playing a role in forging ever-closer links between the UK and China.
This includes being matched with an exchange buddy, who they will get to know very well as they welcome their guests to their home city. Experiences like this form friendships-for-life.
Pricing and More Information
The Easter 2022 Future Ambassadors’ Trip is from 31st March - 10th April, and costs £1200 per person. This includes flights to and from London Heathrow, all transport and accommodation, excursions, and three meals per day.
Additional expenses including snacks, souvenirs, and anything else not included in the pre-arranged programme are not covered. Costs incurred applying for a tourist visa are not covered.
